Dixon Advisory, 140 Broadway New York City
Project Size : 17,000 sq ft
No of Sensor Nodes : 241
Following the success of the of an Organic Response installation in their Melbourne, Australia headquarters, Dixon Advisory decided that Organic Response should be rolled out in their New York office relocation.
The office moved to a high profile location in downtown Manhattan – the iconic 140 Broadway.
Dixon’s new office floor includes approximately 17,000 sq ft (1,600sq m) of net lettable space, comprising:
- Open plan office space
- Glass fronted client-facing offices
- Board & conference rooms
- Reception area
- Kitchen and breakout spaces
Early engagement with Organic Response ensured that all the necessary US certification was achieved in time. The install required 143 fully integrated fixtures for the open plan office. Down lights and feature lighting in the closed office spaces were controlled by 98 remote Sensor Nodes. Wireless battery-powered wall switches enable scene control, in conjunction with extensive audio visual systems. The significant daylight delivered on the 28th floor is exploited by every luminaire, maximizing reduction in energy consumption.
The Site Foreman from construction company Structuretone was very impressed by the ‘plug and play’ ease of installation and rich functionality the system provides and is looking forward to his next Organic Response installation.
A number of Dixon Advisory’s staff were trained on how to use and modify the system settings. They are very satisfied with the end result and are particularly pleased that they can change system settings themselves without having to call a 3rd party contractor.
